What will the technician do during an appointment?
During each appointment, our technicians follow a four-step process to help keep your home mosquito free. 1. The technician will inspect your property, identify the mosquitoes and any problems in your yard. 2. He will determine any breeding sites and areas with standing water. 3. He will empty standing water from containers and apply larvicide to potential breeding sites. 4. Finally, he will apply a barrier spray treatment to the foliage around your yard and to the ground cover, bushes and undergrowth.
How long will each treatment take?
Most treatments will be completed in thirty minutes. However, if you have a large yard, it can take up to sixty minutes or possibly longer.
What mosquito control options do you offer?
At Mosquito Tek, we offer two different types of treatments. You can choose between our organic and conventional treatment options. They are both safe and effective. The organic treatment will last for two weeks, while the conventional treatment will last for up to three weeks.
Do I have to be home during a treatment?
You will just need to give the technician access to your property when you set up the treatments. It is important that your pets are inside during a treatment. When the technician comes, he will leave a note stating the date and time of the service.
Will the service work even if my neighbors do not address their mosquito problem?
Our treatments set up a barrier spray around the perimeter of your property. This spray will stop any mosquitoes that try to cross over from your neighbors. However, mosquito control is more effective when more people participate so we offer neighborhood discounts.
How much are estimates?
The estimates are free, but we need to visit your property so that we can provide an accurate estimate and determine the best treatment plan for your needs.
