What should I expect when you come out to do a treatment?
For every mosquito control treatment we perform there’s a four-step process that we go through the first time we come out:
1. We look at all the exterior locations around your property to access what types of pests are present. You may have called us to eliminate mosquitoes, but you might also have infestations of fleas, ticks, ants, stinging insects and other pests you might want to be aware of.
2. We look for areas of standing water where mosquitoes prefer to breed. Some of these locations are permanent such as stream pools, ponds, and lakes, but you may also have areas where containers are collecting rain and creating mosquito breeding sites.
3. We mitigate all the permanent breeding sites with larvicide, and empty water from the locations that we find which are not permanent so mosquitoes have fewer places where they can breed.
4. Once all the breeding locations have been eliminated, we then go through and spray all exterior areas of your property where adult mosquitoes reside. The insecticide creates a barrier of protection that will not only kill any mosquitoes present on your property, but will also kill mosquitoes that may enter from outside of your property.
